Every cloud has a silver lining.
We all know that leaving the people/places you love is difficult. I've always wanted to do a project where I sit at the airport and photograph people saying goodbye. I think it would make for a very fascinating portrayal of human relationships - don't you? Most people hug, some people cry, some are probably relieved...you have the whole range of emotions all boiled down to a swift curbside drop off or a hug before the security line.
Well here I am, a few days away from my own airport farewell. The gloomy reality of leaving home has collided with the striking awareness of everything important to me...revealing a silver lining I never knew existed. The things which I one saw as simplistic and routine have become priceless moments in time.
