The story behind the name...
CHANIE BON [CHAW. KNEE. BAWN]
In Japanese, Chan (ちゃん) is a suffix commonly placed after a child's name (usually a female). Growing up the youngest child in a Japanese-American household I was always referred to as Amie-Chan. This soon morphed into a variety of names: Chanie, Bonnie, Chanzie, Bonzie, Chan-Bon, Bon-Bon...and many many more.
Chaniebon is a representation of my heritage, my upbringing and my passion in being a bridge between the two countries I call home, The USA and JAPAN.
